Who we are

The job hunt is broken. We built something else.

Right now, looking for trade work usually means the same grind: scrolling hundreds of postings, applying to dozens, and hoping. Most of those applications get filtered out by hiring software before a person ever sees them, or they land in a crowded HR inbox and quietly disappear. On the other side, employers post one opening and get buried under a hundred CVs — most not even a real fit — while the right person gets lost in the pile. We think that's backwards, so we built the opposite.

The old way

  • Apply to job after job, one at a time, and mostly hear nothing back.
  • Filtering software decides who a human even sees — before anyone reads your experience.
  • Or your CV lands in a crowded HR inbox and quietly disappears.
  • Employers wade through 100+ CVs for one role and still miss the right fit.

The Hardhat & Hustle way

  • Build one private profile, once — no repeat applications.
  • No filtering software between you and a real employer — a real person reviews every profile.
  • Nothing gets lost. You're the one who decides who gets to reach out.
  • Employers only see people who already fit — less noise, better matches, faster for everyone.
How this works
  1. 1

Tell us about yourself — two minutes, no CV needed.

  2. 2

A matching employer sees an anonymous preview, then sends a request.

  3. 3

You accept the request first — nothing's shared until you do.

Proof, not a promise

Here's what an employer sees when you're a fit.

TECHNICIAN INTAKE
HARDHAT & HUSTLE

Hey — thanks for stopping by. I connect HVAC, refrigeration, and diesel/heavy-equipment techs with companies that are actually looking to hire, not just posting a listing and hoping. Two minutes, no CV to upload, and I won't spam you or sell your details — they're only ever used to match you with a real opening. I'll be straight with you up front: this doesn't guarantee anything, it just gets you on our radar for the right opening. Sound good?

Questions

Straight answers

Is this real?

Yes. We're building a real database of HVAC, refrigeration, and diesel/heavy-equipment technicians across Europe so that real employers looking to hire can reach people who actually fit, instead of posting a listing and hoping the right person sees it. There's no job board here to browse — this page exists to build that list, starting with you.

Is the matching process above already live?

Not yet — what's described above is the plan we're building toward, not something running today. Right now you're in the first step of it: we're collecting profiles like yours to see if there's enough real interest to justify building the rest. At the end of this step we do a real evaluation, and if it doesn't clear the bar we set, we stop the project and delete everything we've collected — see for exactly how and when.

Why would I do this instead of just applying to job postings?

You don't have to choose one or the other. This isn't a replacement for applying to jobs you find yourself — it's a second, passive path: once you're in, companies with a real opening that matches what you told us can reach out to you directly, without you having to go looking again. No guarantee it happens fast, or at all — but it costs you nothing but the couple of minutes it took to sign up.

Does a real person see my profile?

Yes — a real person reviews every profile before it's ever used for anything. Nothing here auto-matches you to a job or makes any decision about you.

What happens to my information?

We only use what you tell us to match you with real openings that fit — see for the full detail on what we collect, why, and how long we keep it.

Is my information sold or shared?

No. It's used only to match you with real employer openings on this project. See for the full detail.

How we use your info

How we use your info

As you build your profile, you'll tell us things like your trade, where you're based, how much experience you have, any certifications, and what you're looking for right now. If you tell us it's okay (we'll ask, before we ask for your email), we save that along with your email so we can keep you in mind as real employer openings come in. A real person reviews every profile before it's ever used for anything — nothing here auto-matches you to a job or makes any decision about you. Right now, while this project is still an early, time-boxed test, no employer sees or is matched with your profile at all — see "This is a short test right now" below for exactly what that means for your data.

This is a short test right now, not an ongoing service

Right now, this page is a short demand-validation test — about 10 days total: a 7-day online ad campaign, plus a few days afterward to look at the results. It's not yet an established, ongoing recruiting service. During this test, we use your information only to find out whether enough people are genuinely interested in this idea to justify building it further — we are not actively matching your profile to any employer opening, or sharing it with anyone, during this window. At the end of the test, we do a real, concrete evaluation against goals we set in advance (we're not publishing the exact numbers, but it's a defined decision point, not a vague "we'll see") to decide whether to keep building this. If we decide not to continue, we'll delete all the profile data collected during this test within 30 days of that decision. If we decide to continue, the up-to-12-months retention described below becomes our general, ongoing policy, and the employer-matching described elsewhere on this site would then start applying to your profile too.

Where your info is stored

Once you say yes and give us your email, your answers are saved to a database we manage (not a shared inbox, and not sold or handed to any employer, advertiser, or other third party). We're keeping this for up to 12 months from when you sign up, so we can keep considering you as openings come in, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If we decide not to continue this project after the test period, that timeline is different — see "This is a short test right now" above.

Your rights

Want your information deleted, or want to see what we have on file? Email us at privacy@hardhat-and-hustle.example with the email address you signed up with, and we'll look it up in our system and delete or send it to you. This is a real, manual step someone here does when asked, not an automatic self-serve tool yet — we'll honor it either way.

One more thing, plainly

Hardhat & Hustle does not currently have a registered legal presence or a designated representative in the European Union. We're saying this directly rather than leaving it out: if you're an EU resident, this is a real, open gap in how a company handling your data would normally be expected to be structured under EU law, and we haven't resolved it yet. We're not hiding it from you.
