How we use your info

As you build your profile, you’ll tell us things like your trade, where you’re based, how much experience you have, any certifications, and what you’re looking for right now. If you tell us it’s okay (we’ll ask, before we ask for your email), we save that along with your email so we can keep you in mind as real employer openings come in. A real person reviews every profile before it’s ever used for anything — nothing here auto-matches you to a job or makes any decision about you. Right now, while this project is still an early, time-boxed test, no employer sees or is matched with your profile at all — see “This is a short test right now” below for exactly what that means for your data.

This is a short test right now, not an ongoing service

Right now, this page is a short demand-validation test — about 10 days total: a 7-day online ad campaign, plus a few days afterward to look at the results. It’s not yet an established, ongoing recruiting service. During this test, we use your information only to find out whether enough people are genuinely interested in this idea to justify building it further — we are not actively matching your profile to any employer opening, or sharing it with anyone, during this window. At the end of the test, we do a real, concrete evaluation against goals we set in advance (we’re not publishing the exact numbers, but it’s a defined decision point, not a vague “we’ll see”) to decide whether to keep building this. If we decide not to continue, we’ll delete all the profile data collected during this test within 30 days of that decision. If we decide to continue, the up-to-12-months retention described below becomes our general, ongoing policy, and the employer-matching described elsewhere on this site would then start applying to your profile too.

Where your info is stored

Once you say yes and give us your email, your answers are saved to a database we manage (not a shared inbox, and not sold or handed to any employer, advertiser, or other third party). We’re keeping this for up to 12 months from when you sign up, so we can keep considering you as openings come in, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. If we decide not to continue this project after the test period, that timeline is different — see “This is a short test right now” above.

Your rights

The privacy contact has not been configured yet. The previous example address was not a functioning inbox. A working contact must be supplied before public collection of profiles.

One more thing, plainly

Hardhat & Hustle does not currently have a registered legal presence or a designated representative in the European Union. We’re saying this directly rather than leaving it out: if you’re an EU resident, this is a real, open gap in how a company handling your data would normally be expected to be structured under EU law, and we haven’t resolved it yet. We’re not hiding it from you.
